About
Joanna trained as a biomedical scientist in Malta. She recently completed her Chemical Biology CRUK/EPSRC DPhil in the group based at the University of Oxford. Her research focuses on the biochemical and cellular characterisation of histone demethylases (KDMs). Specifically, she is interested in investigating the alternative roles of KDMs, including arginine demethylation, and the interactions of these enzymes with non-histone proteins that have important roles in cancer.
