Keir joined the group as a PhD student in 2024 as part of the Molecular Sciences for Medicine (MoSMed) CDT having graduated with an MChem from Durham University. This included an industrial placement year at LifeArc, working on developing novel antimicrobials within the Chemical Biology team in Stevenage. In Newcastle, Keir’s PhD project focuses on developing libraries for mRNA display to create cell permeable cyclic peptides, in collaboration with AstraZeneca. Outside of the lab, Keir loves running, climbing and travelling.
